Take On 27 Challenge

NW Hearts Charity supports people across Greater Manchester, improving the lives of people who are living with, or at risk of, heart disease, and their families.

Funding and supporting projects which change lives.

This figure is considerably higher in Greater Manchester, with people having a significantly reduced life expectancy due to poor heart health.

This is why we are asking you to ‘Take on 27’ days of activity this National Heart Month and help raise funds to support our work of improving heart health outcomes for your local communities.

Here are some ideas you could include:

Go for a 30 minute walk
Do 25 sit ups
Do a 2k or 5k run
Swim 20 lengths of a swimming pool
Go for a 5k bike ride
Do 10,000 steps a day
Do Yoga or Pilates classes
Do a YouTube fitness video for 10 minutes
Quit alcohol for 27 days
Quit smoking - once you have passed 27 days
there will be no looking back!

You know your limits and what you are able to do.

Whilst we would like you to set yourself a challenge that people will sponsor you for, please be careful and be sure to listen to your body.

If you are not used to being physically active, just do small activities each day and increase them if you feel you can.

Please support NW Hearts Charity during National Heart Month, February 2025 and together we will improve heart health outcomes in Greater Manchester.

HOW THE CHALLENGE WORKS
 

  1. Sign up using the form below
     

  2. Check your email for a link to download the Aspire app
     

  3. Download and login to the app
     

  4. Complete the app health questionnaire
     

  5. Setup your just giving page to collect sponsorship and donations
     

  6. Starting on 1st February 2025, open the app every day for 27 days and log your exercise & daily habits
     

  7. After completing the challenge you will receive a certificate from NW Hearts Charity
